The weather here seems to be turning into something similar to Iceland, it changes every couple days and you never know what´s going to happen. The weekend before last we had three days of 20 degrees. The Monday after that it was snowing. Now it´s a little warmer and it´s raining. I think it´s great, actually, it reminds me of home.
So we decided to enjoy the good weather while it lasted and took Eyrún to the zoo, which she thought was just great, shrieking and screaming, oohing and aahing the whole time, and did not want to leave. She especially liked the giraffes and the flamingos.
And now, since a week ago, Eyrún is walking by herself. She just decided to get up and walk after Púki, I guess to see if she could catch his tail any faster that way. And since then she´s getting ever faster every day!!

Just a couple new pictures of Eyrún at her daily work, playing and exercising, and showing off her new front teeth. The newest thing that cracks her up is putting her shoes on her hands, she thinks it´s hilarious and shares her joy with us, showing us over and over again how she does it while laughing out loud. It´s great.

Although a bit late, here are finally some Xmas and Eyrún´s first birthday photos!! Thanks to everyone for the presents, they were all great. Here she is opening and playing with some of her many gifts, I´ve actually stored some of her things to give to her bit by bit, so that she doesn´t get an overload and refuse to play with any of it (give her a shoebox and she plays happily with it for hours!).
So, like usual, our trip home to Iceland went by too fast and now seems a far off dream again, even though it´s not even a week since we got back to Spain. Eyrún had a great time with her amma and afi and her two uncles, pulling on Darri´s long hair and just in seventh heaven with so many people to help her run around the house. She now takes several steps by herself, sort of hunches up her shoulders and half closes her eyes before launching herself into the steps, and she´s even stopping in mid air to balance and change direction.
We met lots of people (and were going to visit a whole lot more), ate lots of great food and candy, slept, played and played some more, so I would say it was a perfect vacation for us all. If only it had been a little longer...
Happy New Year!
